Bio: About Lee

Lee Rafkin is Founder and President of Rafkin & Company, a boutique brand strategy and marketing consulting firm founded in 2002 and based in New York City. In this role, Lee has partnered with a wide range of clients including AOL, CBS, Chicago Tribune Company, Discovery Communications, Mercedes Benz, Outdoor Advertising Association of America, OUTFRONT Media, Reuters, Simon Property Group and Mercedes Benz.

Lee has over twenty years of experience as a brand consultant, market researcher, chief marketing officer, and brand manager. He specializes in consumer and customer insight, strategy, branding, marketing, and innovation.

Lee brings passion and trusted advisor skills to every project. He loves to strategize, write, design, teach, and sell ideas. He is comfortable in the boardroom, the conference room, and out in the field.

Previously, Lee was Managing Director at Consumer Dynamics, an insight-driven brand consulting firm based in New York City, where he led a wide range of global consulting relationships, including Estée Lauder, CBS, Covidien, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Novartis, PepsiCo, Starbucks, and others.

Before Consumer Dynamics, Lee was Global Director and Practice Leader at Siegel+Gale, and Executive Director and head of Latin American consulting at FutureBrand, where he oversaw offices in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile and led consulting projects throughout Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

Prior to consulting, Lee was the CMO for a number of Internet start-ups, Director of Marketing for consumer products licensing at #1 kids cable network Nickelodeon, and a classically-trained consumer products brand manager at Nabisco and Pillsbury.

Lee earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Brown University, and an MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management. His passions include travel, skiing, the Berkshire mountains, and cheering on his son’s champion Ultimate Frisbee team.
